Kyle, Jeff, Micah and I decided to hike up Smarts Mountain in NH on New Years Eve. As the daylight waned, we reached the point where the last hikers had stopped and turned around, and we had to trudge on though knee-deep snow until it was completely dark and we were forced to pitch camp below the summit. (The distance of which we were still uncertain about)
