This was a demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony. The demonstration took place at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art during the 2010 Cherry Blossom Festival.

  • The two ladies conducting the chado or tea ceremony, are Shie Otani the master, and the lady in the blue kimono is Yoshiko Green who answeres questions and aids Shie Sensei in conducting the ceremony, since Shie dont speak much english.

    Mrs. Yoshiko is also a professor at Indiana University South Bend, in Japanese culture and Japanese language from elementry to advanced.

    I got to see this back in 2009 it was neat and so precise unlike me, but in 2010 and 11 I got off work too late to see.
