Large German Shepherds from large German Shepherd breeder in Pennsylvania - large German Shepherds (known as large German Shepards or large German Shepard Dogs), can also be considered old fashioned German Shepherds or old style German Shepherds. Video showcasing our dogs and previous puppies.

Pioneer German Shepherds breeds sweet-tempered plush and long coat (long haired) German Shepherd Dogs that are oversized with a laidback temperament. Please note that our dogs are NOT Shiloh Shepherds but are distantly related, with larger size and less angulation than most GSD. Nor are they King Shepherds, however they are above average in size (some say king sized) with a large-boned structure. However, all are AKC German Shepherd Dogs. Puppies are whelped indoors and raised underfoot in our home with lots of love, occasionally available to select companion homes. For more information about our dogs, see our website at http://www.pioneergermanshepherds.com

  • how do you get your German shepherds to be that big? do you breed them with another breed of dog?

  • @abab123x They are just large, healthy GSD bred to other large, healthy GSD of similar type and structure.

  • @JaneAndDracoAndTheo Also, there are many American show line GSDs working as search and rescue, cadaver, and detector dogs. Maybe they don't run as fast and maybe they aren't as drivey, but they most certainly can do a job other than trotting around the ring if they are trained to do a job. Many people like to make assumptions based on videos like these - go actually meet, see and feel some show line German Shepherds. They are sturdy, most have stable temperaments, and they are not disabled.

  • @JaneAndDracoAndTheo I have never seen an American show line over 90 pounds. The majority are in the 70-80 range. German show lines, on the other hand, have some pretty huge dogs. I have also seen quite a few American German Shepherds who are competitive in specialties and end up being group winners who are herding titled and I know there is one SchH3 Am Ch. who is a cross between American and West German showlines (though I have to find his name.) They can work, we just don't work them.

  • @ImFlareonBitch True true, there is a standard for a reason, these dogs are meant to be 66-88 lbs, they are not built like Mastiffs to support the weight, and they ARE supposed to have a SLIGHT slope, just not as exaggerated and unhealthy as showlines. These are herding dogs, herding dogs have to be agile, asking one of these dogs to PHYSICALLY be able to herd a dog is like asking a Saint Bernard to do agility, it just doesn't work. A GSD should be PHYSICALLY able to work no matter the breeding.

  • Leave the PET PRODUCTION to the animal shelters and let people who care about preserving the German Shepherd do the breeding.

You're doing nothing but ruining the breed. German Shepherds may not have started out as the over-angulated American showlines or the roach-backed German showlines, but they definitely didn't start out the size of a Great Pyrenees either.

  • why u mother fuckers put pics instead of real videos?its fake.fuck u lil kids u never have a real dog

  • Do you have any short-hairs in this size range?

  • king shepherds are cross breed from the real GSD

  • German Shepherd elitists sure love to act douchey about large dogs. I think these dogs look awesome.

  • @Brackneyc earth to hater.......ummm these dogs are naturally large. Google giant german shepherd, and discover that like other breeds, there is a relative to the normal GSD. SHEESH, if you dont like the breed,or their lack of abilities, dont watch the video, but dont get on here and spoil it for everyone else lacking knowledge on an animal that you own yourself. do the homework then argue your point........if you had one. NICE VIDEO DUDE!!

  • All your dogs are huge even the females I've personaly never seen males that big keep up the breeding with all of ur dogs
