Johnny Ringo ( better known as John Ringold ) was a gun thug that wandered about the Tombstone Arizona area in the 1880's that was found shot to death under a tree in the Arizona outback in the 1880's. Glamorized in the movie "Tombstone", just broadcast for the ump-teenth time.
A #1 hit for Lorne Greene in December 1964. It also hit #1 on the Adult Contemporary charts and also charted on the Country & Western charts.
