@vbdenny Yep, I think you're right,considering "The Rapper" came out in '69 or '70. But, I believe "Wolf Creek Pass" still pre-dates rap music as we know it.

@basserase ha, probably was the first. Actually I think this song was made before there even WAS rap music. Can't say for sure because I don't listen to it.

@mc73454 if I remember correctly, rap music was inspired by the hippies who use to get AFU and "rap" with each other (hey man, wanna rap?). Reference the song by the Jaggers called "The Rapper."
