A multiple sclerosis patient explains how embryonic stem cell research offers the best, if not only, hope for a cure - and why Missourians should support Amendment 2.

  • UBB: YouTube won't allow links posted here. Have sent them to you by return email. Also sent link to debunking of list of "70 diseases successfully treated by ASCR" and the letter to Bush from American scientific Nobel laureates. Hope this helps...

  • Jeff, I'm having trouble too. Just to let you know, the 74 + cases of which I spoke, did not come from Professor Prentice. Hope all is well.

  • UBB: Regardless of the source, it's a good bet those 74 originated from Prentice. The actual number of FDA approved ASC treatments documented in the scientific journal, NATURE, is 9. Let's hope that SCR of ALL types improves that number significantly. Regards...

  • Jeff - It doesn't work. The absolute best that ESCR has been able to produce are tumors. Time to start looking into ASCR and it's successes.

  • UBB - "Time to START looking into ASCR"? Look up Dr. E. Donnall Thomas, granddaddy of ASCR and Nobel Prize winner for that work - done in 1956! Yet it's been less than 10 years since hESCs were even isolated. For the record, I'm an equal opportunity stem cell supporter but there's no reason to stifle ANY path toward cures. Medical research opens 20 doors hoping to find gold behind one. And by the way, in animal testing (precursor to human trials), ESCR has produced amazing results.

  • MS is caused by a vira lrump, left behinmd from full illness. We can tweak the immune system to produce the active antibody, and cure it! But you can then get it again!

  • Jeff - I'll pull-up the ASC successes and post.

    UBB

  • Jeff - ESCR has produced NO successful proceedures. Now, there is a chance I could be wrong, but then I read many of the medical journals and as of today I have not seen any new postive proceedures...but, if I am wrong, please show me those "...amazing results."

  • Very moving, very good film. If your religion says stem cell research is wrong, there's a simple answer. Ditch your religion. Then find one that cares about people - you know the 'love thy neighbour as thyself sort of thing'.

  • My Mom has MS. God Bless You!
