  • Why so much exhaust right from the cylinders?

Flushing out water condensation in the cylinders?

Would not the first few exhausts rid the cylinders of water?

    Can't they burn cleaner?

Those huge side rods must be under such tremendous stress.

Does this locomotive pound the rails, or are things well balanced out?

Amazingly steady video from a moving vehicle!

What causes the wheels to slip? Wet rail?

Thank you for posting this, Skip.

  • Steam engines became so efficient just as diesel was introduced. A political thing.

Same for cars and everything in life. Bar fridge size electrical generators that can be powered by rubbish are available.

  • Am I the only person that realizes this locomotive plus its coaches looks almost EXACTLY like the ones from the intro in Shining Time Station?

  • i like this
