BTW I'm not asking to accuse you of anything. I'm sorry if it came off that way in text! I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious since the AR-15 is my favorite gun to shoot (my Dad has a pre-ban).

That was neither an M4 or an M16, which, despite popular belief, arent the same thing. That was an AR-15.The M4 and M16 use the same round, but the M4 has a shorter barrel and collapsable stock, so that it can be used for CQB, not medium range like the M16
