Several years ago not long after I had met the woman who will soon be my wife I had a dream. In this dream the end had come for us all. A nuclear holocaust that had swept the globe in acrid waves of humid death. In this dream I found myself journeying out into that wasteland looking for my lost love. Through the ruins, the death, the ashes and dust I searched. Through all imaginable and unimaginable hell I finally found her. We embraced... and died in each others arms.

A few months later I stumbled upon "And there will your heart be also," by Fields of the Nephilim and immediately was brought back to that dream that many would consider a nightmare. To me that dream was beautiful... To me that dream was nothing but love.

This slideshow was inspired by that dream.

"And There Will Your Heart Be Also," Performed by Fields of the Nephilim from their album Elizium.

  • You're faith needs to be in God, that's the only thing that will save you

  • @JonathanDymond Thank you for caring enough to impose your will upon me... As if I haven't suffered, as if I haven't looked within, as if you know me well enough to say what I need or don't. Three things I cannot stomach are duplicity, unsolicited advice and imposition (no, not laying of hands)... How vain do you have to be to think you know what another person needs. If your content then good for you. I don't think that your are, though. Those that impose their beliefs never are...

  • @Watchman2012 I think you are right about those that impose their beliefs. That is vain, however I don't need to impose to validate myself. Don't be fooled by the hypocrites, the love of God commands that we give freely the knowledge of the truth that we have also received freely.

I know it's hard to believe someone like me could be content, but I am. Having a connection to God completes us, because it was built in to us. I live in peace, without worry! Look up near death experiences on youtube

  • @JonathanDymond Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your faith and doing so in a respectful manner. I apologize if I was harsh.

  • lol. I had had a hard time finding real post-apocalyptic cityscapes... so, digitally-rendered had to do.

  • @Watchman2012 Thanks for your kind answer. Give God a try, read the Gospel of John it was written specifically for non-jews.

  • The powers of darkness deceive.

Don't listen to them! The afterlife is real, our spirit/conscious lives forever, we need to know the son of God Jesus, who shed his literally precious blood by living sinless, in order to pay for the sins of those that receive him. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved

  • The message of connectedness is very powerful within this video. The thought of truly striving for one person, and being willing to see to this through the end of all things is quite profound. I have begun considering others as being connected in a profound way since a philosophical realization I had a while back. This video illustrates that very well. p.s. G.J. on the choice of art, it fits well.

  • alright no more fallout 3 for you
