In The UK all spinners (before powder coating) are dipped in a product called Trimite which is the same stuff that gets used on boats to stop them rusting when they start out at sea. After 5 yeras the spinners ill start to rust and that is the lifespan here in Europe. I do alsop Know the reason we do not use stainless steel is how expensive it is so you may want to cheek before believing the spinners are made of stainless

to be honest, I don't know what the treatment to make steel galvanized is, but I have purchased some spinners that were supposed to be treated with some type of electrical charge and they, too, assured me that they wouldn't rust. However, one trip to the beach and they also rusted. I have never had any problems with stainless, even if they get scratched or the paint chips from wear.

If they were galvanized them am sure they would be fine :)

I sell these spinners, I recommend only purchasing stainless steel, the steel spinners will rust, reguardless of the warranty or "rust proof" labeling

Can anyone tell me how to unfold wind spinners once they're unpacked from the shipping package?
If you got your spinners from Iron Stop. The spinners hould already be ready to use. If not just slightly bend the spinner to a 45 degree angle, but I dont know what yours are made of. From Iron Stop they are all solid steel so they wont snap, but if there from China they could fall apart, so be careful.
