Just a quick video to compare some sound clips from the differences between stock and new M4 Slip-on. Very simple install, I have pics of install if you want some help putting one on. I love the sound, not too over the top and not too quiet.

Thanks to motomummy.com for the exhaust. Best price I could find and extremely fast shipping (I got mine in 3 days).

Oh and for anyone who is going to say it, I will have a new undertail in about a week so the hugh tag hanger will be gone soon!!

  • Dang man, you gotta remove the cat... get the midpipe. When my pipe is off, the exhaust is freakin deafening. With yours it sounds pretty good hahahah. So restrictive...

  • @nspinicelli yeh if you check out some of my other videos i now have a full set of headers and mid pipe on the bike and it is extremely loud.

  • i think it sound better without the slip ons.... the only function for a lip on in this bikes (with the silencer and muffler is still under the bike) is for looks and to direct the exhaust gases, it has nothing to do with performance and apparently doesnt do much for the sound, i wonder if you could just go to you local muffler shop and make your own gp megaphone slip on with a pice of tube.

  • @gggromay you'er right that the slip on is mainly only for looks and yes you could have any muffler shop custome make a megaphone slip on. However, there is a noticable difference in feel and sound with the headers and midpipe on the bike.

  • This pipe is 8 grand? I did notice a big difference though.

  • @Pandanobear no the slip-on M4 was like $250 and i just installed an MJS performance header and midpipe that ran like $300ish and the sound is much louder now, check out my other videos I have one comparing the M4 with factory headers and the M4 with MJS headers

  • i got a shop close to my house called D&D yes the ones they sell round the world and i got them to make me a moto gp style exhaust for my r6 its amazing added some power to

  • the stock sounded better

  • @ICTshockerGTS I absolutely agree with you, headers are the true way to go.

And for anybody considering a slip on, consider that the stock can is pretty much straight like any slip on ive seen, i could think that most of the sound improvement comes from removing the exup valve more then the aftermarket slip ons its self, the actual oem silencer-muffler is still in there, the major difference from a stock to other cans is the absence of the exup valve.

  • @ICTshockerGTS Oh thank God. Lol. It sounds great I'll check out that vid.
