Day 2 of Running My 55g Freshwater Aquarium

I've had this tank up and running for 2 days now. The tank is not cycled, the water is still cloudy, and i haven't put in too many plants. The plants that you see in the tank are a few stalks of Jungle Val, and a smaller Val species.

uv uv uv uv uv get one and run it 24/7 i did for my central filtration system for my 55's and 20's they work great! i have 5 running now

i also have a 55 gallon and my water got just like this after about 3 weeks of setting it up.i have rainbos fish in there and barbs..how can i get rid of this.please help

he had to much water in the tank when he added the substrate. tank bottom should have 1-3 cm in it depending on size of tanks when adding any substrate.once all added then start dripping the water, in make sure its completly soaked. this will make 80% of the difference.... when u do it right :)

@TheBossManhunt hmmm... it took about a couple of weeks for the water to really clear up... i bet if you do a few huge water changes that the water will clear up right away!

how long did it tank you to clear the water...i just added aqua soil substrate to my tank and its so cloudy i can even see the back. I changed the water but now I just have the filter running.

thats a good substrate size.. obviously im a fan of Jungle val....do a 50% Water change...
