@penetr8r713 Winning with characters listed in lower tiers doesn't disprove the idea of tiers because tier placement isn't meant to override player skill anyway -- the misconception that it does is part of the reason there's so much controversy. Yes, the better player wins -- that applies to all competitive games. Tier lists are more like review listings for a game or film: a group of opinions to give a broad view of the subject but can't guarantee a particular outcome.

would all of you tier bugs get out of here! In SF3 the better player wins, not the better character. It doesn't matter what "tier" they are. Personally i don't believe in tiers and my winning with necro and hugo against yun, yang, chun-li etc. backs that up. I am no pro(yet) and i am not bragging(for all that may hate this message) but learn the full dynamics of a character then you can be unbeatable.
