Cass Visits Felicia on Christmas Day--Jenna and Dean Arrive

Felicia is sitting in her dark, empty apartment looking at a red-ribboned bottle of liquor and remembering last Christmas with Luke when the doorbell rings. It's Cass. The best friends wish each other merry Christmas and hug, and Felicia asks what he's doing there. Cass asks, can't a fellow stop by and see how his best girl is doing? Felicia says of course he can, but she's not his first girl (that would be Frankie :-D), she's his second. Cass teases Felicia about being picky, then invites Cass in and turns on the lights. When Cass tells Felicia that he doesn't have Frankie's gift yet, Felicia point blank asks him, "Are you a moron?" He gives her her Christmas present, a purple silk scarf, which she loves. Felicia tells Cass that she told Jenna and Lorna that she wanted to spend Christmas alone and work. Cass can't believe they bought that garbage. Cass says Felicia would never spend the holiday alone and asks if she's going to tell him what's going on. Felicia says there has been something on her mind, and Cass is probably the only person who can help. She asks him to look at her contract for the talk show again. Cass asks what's wrong. Felicia tells him nothing, just with a new owner and everything it would be good to go over it and make sure everything is in order. Cass doesn't think it's necessary, especially since the new owner is a friend. Felicia says there have been so many changes at the station lately, and doesn't remember until Cass reminds her that he met the new producer, Sloane Wallace, at the Brava Christmas party. Then Jenna and Dean arrive with a small Christmas tree and merry Christmas greetings. Jenna hopes Felicia doesn't mind the tree. Felicia doesn't, and directs Dean to put it on the coffee table. Dean and Cass joke about the "tree of hugeness." Jenna asks Felicia where she was earlier, and Felicia says she went to see Rachel. Dean gives Cass a tape to put in the stereo, and he does. Once the Christmas music has started, Cass has to get going. He says if he doesn't get home with a gift soon, a certain redhead will be waiting at the door for him with a Yule log. Dean says he knows what Cass means, and to save him some tofu loaf. Felicia thanks Cass for her present and tells him not to worry; she's sure he'll find Frankie something wonderful. When Cass asks Felicia how she knows that, Felicia says because Frankie already has the most wonderful gift of all: Cass. The best friends hug once more before Cass leaves.
