I meant, love THE sound, etc.

Great video, by the way..love to sound and power of your plane, and your skill.

I am about to mount a power 60 brushless motor on an old Super Stick 60. Do I mount it right in the middle of the firewall,( center) or higher up? Would you let me know, please? I am fairly new to this, and this is my first 'heavy' plane. Been learning on foamies from Nitroplanes..need to fly something which can handle the wind better.

how much does it cost???

sounds like ducted fan, what braND IS THE MOTOR ? I THINK YOU WERE ON full throtlle too much your ESC can only handle about 10 sec WOT,im not sure what the C rating on the lipo is either

ib422000; Thanks for the comments. The sound is awsome I agree. I think that is a sign of overpeeding the prop but man does it scream nice!!
As far as mounting your motor, mount it as center as you can with the airframe. The firewall should have the angles built in to help counter-act the tourque.
The stick series fly very nice. dosile and stable yet lot of control to throw it around!
Good luck and post video when done!

The batteries I had were from ebay, I made a SERIES adapter and used TWO 3s 3000ma lipo's. This made a 6s 22.2volt. I would point you to Hobbyking for batterries nowadays.
COST was about 320 at the time.

The motor i picked up on ebay, was sold by redflagpower if I remember correct. Motor had no brand, just a sticker with the KV.(840kv)
Reason it sounds like a ducted fan because the prop is spinning very fast, maybe too fast but sounds great and was loud when pass by yourself.
ESC's can handle full throttle for the entire flight, as long as your AMP draw is within spec of the ESC. I think ESC is most efficient at full throttle, technically.

I think it is a gas prop. It is an evolution 12x6 in this video.
I have switched toa 11x5 master airscrew, will post video soon!
