A quick comparison of a Quaker State filter and a Fram filter. Two rumors are put to the test: A - You get what you pay for. B - Quaker State filters are made by Honewell (maker of Fram products). Please note that this is NOT the place for MLM "dealers" to push their product. Vulgar comments will be removed.

  • I just pose these questions as food for thought. I never really thought about filters until a few days ago when I saw some of your vids and it started me thinking about all kinds of "what ifs" . . .by the way I am leaning towards the royal purple or mobile 1 as of now.

  • @jedirifleman The M1 is a good filter. but for the money you are already spending, the Royal Purple or even Napa Platinum is a darn good buy for a couple bucks more.

    Thanks for watching!

  • 1) Isn't the anti-drain valve loose because you took it apart and took the spring pressure off of it? When the filter is together and under spring pressure there is no way its loose.

    2) Won't the paper end caps last just as long, and hold up just as well as the paper media filter ?

  • @jedirifleman 1: The adbv on the fram filter is loose because the endcap hole is too big. Basically, that oil filter wouldn't have a properly functioning adbv, this would explain why people have excess noise upon startup.

2: Many used fram filters online show a lot of fatigue on the endcaps. Some of the pics show the filter element misshapen. Another problem is the tube in Fram filters isn't always secured to the rest of the filter element. I was able to slide the tube out in one of these.

  • @aaronpourazar its basically a chain of a company owned by another company and another company. just purchasing the product from the same manufacturer regardless of what brand you buy. some of the purolator filters are basically Mann filters in a different box.

  • @98770 THIS FUEL FILTERS AND OIL FILTERS ITS JUST A BIG FUCKING CONSPIRECY ITS CRAZZZZZZZZY

  • @aaronpourazar the bosch filters are made by purolator which is owned by Mann Hummel so is mann itself.

  • JUST GO WITH MANN, MAHL, OR BOSCH THE BEST FILTERS IN THE WORLD NO DOUBT

  • @jedirifleman The Quaker State/Pennzoil filters is now made by Purolator.

  • I use Wix.

  • Like a knife with wooly mamoth ivory scales and one with G10 scales. Not sure if the knives have the same steel (oil filters with same media) that the handle material will make a difference in the edge sharpness.
