Come out on December 1 at 5:30 PM for our Tree Lighting and Trees for
Troops at the Post Gazebo located at Brooks Field. This Traditional holiday program will include musical performances from the 113th U.S.
Army Band and community youth groups, an invocation by the Staff Chaplain, group caroling, an announcement of the Holiday Card decorating contest and refreshments. Santa Claus will be transported by a horse drawn carriage to the ceremony site and will distribute candy
canes to the children in attendance.
In addition, the Christmas Spirit Foundation has partnered with the Federal Express Delivery Corporation and the National Christmas Tree Association to donate and deliver 600 live Christmas Trees to be distributed at no cost to Active Duty personnel of the Fort Knox Community. Distribution of trees will immediately follow in the Waybur Theater frontal parking until 9:00 PM and continuing from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, December 2.
We will honor Fallen Soldiers before the actual lighting of the tree with Families of the Fallen placing an ornament on the Christmas tree in memory of the Fallen. If you are a Family of the Fallen, please contact Larane Guthrie at 502-624-6398 or larane.guthrie@us.army.mil for more information.
