At last I decided to make a Beginner's Method tutorial. This will teach you how to solve a Rubik's cube if you are an absolute beginner.
I teach a Beginner's method variation that is in my opinion fast and simple, but more importantly you will have a very easy transition into the advanced and popular Fridrich Method.
The version I teach can be viewed on Joel's awesome site:
http://solvethecube.110mb.com/index.php?location=simple_solution

In This video:
-Inserting middle edges
-Edge orientation
-Corner orientation
-Corner permutation

Clarifications for this video:
-in edge orientation instead of (F U R U' R' F') you can use a very similar looking algorithm to the opposite edge orienting one, (f R U R' U' f'). This one instead orients the Back and Left edge. f is a double layer turn. See notation:

  • hopefully this question haven´t been asked yet..

my problem is when i have done my white cross and edges, and i turn the cube upside down, i havent´s this upside down "T" on every side, if you know what i mean...is that normal or is something wrong with my cube ?^^

  • no. its a common beginner's mistake and I will make sure to address it much more explicitly in my upcoming remake of these videos. You are simply placing the corners into wrong positions, in between wrong centers. There is for example a WHITE-RED-GREEN edge. You must place it ABOVE where it has to go before you apply the algorithms. THe place it has to go is between REd and GREEN center. Remember that every corner has a unique location where it has to end up in... SIGH hard to explain

  • ....when i orient the yellow corners, one isnt oriented corectly... help?

  • cube is unsolvable. disassemble and put back solved

  • @badmephisto wrong. see memyselfandpi's tutorial on how to flip a corner

  • You lost me at 1:18.

  • @powerbuttin888 yes it does

  • @kindercollecter2 it doesnt matter

  • 7:26, mine isn't any of these, sorry if you dont get this but : it's like the top-left one but the two non yellow spaces are in the bottom-middle and right middle squares. ( yellow squares: top row, left row middle and bottom right corner, two others are on the sides of the non-yellow ones on the top)

  • fuck yea!!!! I just solved my first cube!!!!!

  • ya you kinda need to click off annotations
