You have absolutely no idea how helpful this has been! Thank you from the very bottom of my heart!! :D

Puppy is a very good OS for a netbook, if you know what it is you're doing! the installer just confuses me :(

my lord the puppy install sucks, there is no way I would risk this for a dual boot system - I installed Mint (10) alongside my XP and it was a breeze compared to this.

Linux is Digital Crack and I'm severely addicted!

I resurrected a nice little 11 inch Averatec laptop with a blown hard drive and busted CD drive with a USB wiith Puppy Linux. The wireless worked immediatly and I was online
LOL! This was when one Winbox after another was going down with viruses and malware. To make a long story short, it saved my butt at 3 AM.

Does this need an anitvirus?

@TheRockstar512 nope. not under normal circumstances. Linux Malware dose exsist. but its very rare to come in contact with it. and so far the malware that dose exist is not system critical. mostly just ad bots and browser redirects. nothing of any real concern.

@MrGizmo757 I installed Puppy Linux on my IBM Thinkpad T30 and when i try wireless it doesn't connect HELP!!!

@TheRockstar512 there should be a network wizard. click the connect icon on the desktop and try a few diffrent options. there is an auto wizard and a manual one. the manual one works better but it can be confusing. just read carfully. try thise wizards and see. if it still fails then try google. often lots of linux info on google.
