This is a video of CJ and I brewing a batch of Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. We use the continual-hopping process and we utilize the yeast that I made in the previous video.

Please note that near the end of the video where I say '9 hours since pitching the yeast', I should have said '15 hours'

Recipe is from Sam Calagione's book, Extreme Brewing:

  • where can i get a good starter kit? i brewed beer with my father in this manner when i was a teen. i'm really interested in this method at want to start brewing in my home. actually it's an apartment. anyways, let me know where i can get everything i need at a good price. please. i like your keg setup as well. that's gotta be awesome.

  • @Localh81 I got everything at austin home brew. They are local to me, but they do online orders... hell I'm so lazy I've even had them deliver to me here in town :)

  • @anarchotron austinhomebrew com

  • did you dump it into the plastic fermenter to help aerate? I do a four day primary in a plastic bucket and siphon into a glass carboy- for cleaning purposes. i was wondering if you've tried this and think glass is better for primary and secondary.

  • @brad9374 I like glass for primary and secondary because it is easy to clean. And I did dump it through the bucket to aerate it, yes. Between dumping it into the bucket and then through the funnel I think it gets plenty of air.

  • I enjoyed that.. I am heading out to help a friend brew his first batch.. I think i will share this with him..

    Good job

  • I noticed you had your fermenter right in front of a window in front of direct sunlight. That can cause some major skunkage if you're not careful, keep that thing out of the sun!

  • Did you have any issues with over flow? I brewed this beer and it blew the lid of the primary fermenting bucket from the aggressive fermentation. The airlock was working fine. There was just too much CO2 escaping. I had to make a blow off valve. I hope there was not too much contamination.

  • what was the OG of this beer??

  • "Do you consider yourself a good brewer?"

"I did until i had foam coming out of the carboy like that"

HAHA...no really nice stuff though, making me thirsty.
