Just a second before I started recording this video, he said 'I got a request' and that was actually mine (I was too surprised to change the setting of camera...) for my grandmother who had just passed away on the morning of this concert, I got email about this from my father and he told me to continue my holiday.

I had been thinking of requesting this tune for different reason in the first place. Not long ago I found a video of Jake playing 'Blue Roses Falling' and very touching story was attached for it, The guy who posted it was wishing Jake would read it someday, so I thought I may have a chance to tell him this time. but then, my grandma was gone so I wanted to request for her as well.

I wish I could have played this tune for her by myself when she was still alive, for sure she would love it. Thank you so much for showing your sympathy and delivering such a beautiful number, Jake. It just always makes me cry and reminds me of sweet memory about her.

  • i love this song so i would like to play it but i dont know inf jake have some tab plese i wil love one

  • oh I just heard that Jake will publish his original tab book, maybe in next year? He said that he is working on it right now.

  • Thanks for passing the word! I am sorry about your Grandma! I am going to keep you in mind and send you my notes on the song and maybe that will help. There are a lot of BlueRoses how to videos and its kind of simple at its core but of course since I learned it, Jake has fancied it up quite a bit so there's more work to be done catching up with that gut! A lifetimes worth. I appreciate your kind words and I hope Jake reads us both! Mahalo, you are Da Khine!

  • Thanks a lot for your kind words, I don't know what to say but It's just a miracle to have someone sending his note to me from somewhere in the world.

Though this song still makes me cry, everytime I get a feeling that my grief is gradually fading away. I'll just keep practicing so that I can send my note back to you on this song someday .

All the best to you and your family. mahalo and arigato!
