Jeanine Hill-Soldner of Soldner Fine Art Studio is a Chicago artist who founded Portraits of American Veterans Project" which incorporates original oil paintings of American Veterans with the photographs and stories about the veterans told in their own words. This project is in the beginning phase with a long term goal of representing American Veterans in narrative context where the paintings and stories will provide a visual dialogue, and a connection between the viewer and the veteran.
Goal:
To represent Veterans who served in Americas foreign conflicts, and chronicle their stories, many whose lives have been defined or shaped by war. The long tem goal is to create a visual archive, through collaborations with the veterans and artist. The stories and painted portraits will eventually comprise a traveling exhibition.
Jeanine,
This is your cousin Stuart. I was researching Veterans and medals for a case I was briefing in law school and came accross your You Tube videos, and also a PBS a video from Chicago about work you dedicated to Uncle Dan (your father).
Your work is outstanding, and you are making a difference.
Your father would be very, very proud. You are carrying on a legacy and a cause.
And I agree 100 percent about treating our vets better! Hope all is well, and my dad and mom are well.

Hi Stuart,
What a pleasant surprise to receive you message. Thank you for your kind comments. I am now working on a self- founded, self-funded project where I'm painting portraits of American Veterans. I'll keep in touch and send the link to web site I'm preparing for the project, "Portraits of American Veterans Project.'
I hope you are well and best of luck with law school.
