why are you turned off by Christians

I want to know what it is Christians do to turn you off? No flame just trying to be a better friend.

@TheCurious253 i hear you, i find it that its not only ppl not of the faith but also those who are born into it, without having the choice. my family(mom) is always trying to get me to go to church. I don't see her reason for going but i don't judge her for it, in my case i never hear the end of it. Point is i agree will you, but sadly many are to thick headed of followers to ask questions.

there are several different reasons people are turned off by christianity. people do not want to except the fact that we are all sinners, they do not want to be bothered with asking forgiveness from god. alot of christians think that in order to do right by god and spread his message, that they must be pushy and demanding of non-believers to convert to christianity. when in reality, as christians we are expected to just spread the message and leave it up to god to change their hearts.

@lionsclaw75 The only part of yourself you leave is what you do that continues to affect what others do. What happend to the "you" that started first grade, where did that person go? You are completely different from that person now, even your memories of that person are faded, distorted. Yet you are a continuation of all your ancestors' actions; you keep dying and being reborn, repeating actions, learning and progressing. Don't fear birth/death, "self" is just a role you play.

@lionsclaw75 You haven't given a counter argument, only an emotional objection. Even the most complex pattern is dispersed back to the universe eventually. You're hung up on your own identity, which is an illusion. The whole human race, all life, all matter and energy are a single pulsating pattern that never dies, only changes. You're terrified of ending, but you ARE change, you only exist in the flowing, so flow on because you can't hold on to anything.

@MrDominex sorry but i dont agree, it doesn't make sense the only way your theory would work is if we actually were like flowers or a bush or a tree ,but as it is we are not . our energy is much to focused to just be disperse to the earth like a bucket of dirty water ,it doesnt make sense you have to come up with something better than that..your sellin but i am not buyin ..so that means you believe you dont have a soul then only a mind ..wow!! anyways cool chating with you, wish you the best..
