  • THE BEST FAUST PRODUCTION EVER !!!!!!!! IN ALL ASPECTS

    THANKS FOR POSTING!!

  • great clip-interesting staging...but blurs the salvation point of the opera - in Gounod's staging Marguerite recognizes the devil and begs pardon from Heaven as she is about to be executed. As the devil declares her "condemned" the angelic choir sings the Easter morning hymn - Saved! Christ is arisen! - the walls to the prison are opened, Faust falls to his knees in prayer and the devil is held back by the sword of St Michael - perfect musical interpretation and tempo of the final scene

  • Amazing......words cant be discribe this epic final

  • Marguerite - Gabriela Beňačková (Slovak, *1947 Bratislava) Doctor Faust - Francisco Araiza (Mexican, *1950 Mexico City) Méphistophélès - Ruggero Raimondi (Italian, *1941 Bologna) - Conductor - Erich Binder (Austrian, *1947 Wien) - Vienna State Opera Orchestra (Austria) Chor Der Wiener Staatsoper (Austria) Ballett Der Wiener Staatsoper (Austria) - Place: Wiener Staatsoper, Wien, Austria, 1985
