at least sh'es still writing and playing her own music. If people want to give her a lot of money she'd be fool to turn it down. Not selling out, just part of success in the music biz.

7/4 shoreline is not Feist, it's BSS, so you can't really compare. According to you, Amy Millan is a sellout, Emily Haines is a sellout, Jason Collett is a sellout, even Brendan Canning is a sellout, because they all make music by their own that doesn't sound like BSS.

You do know that Sally Seltmann(New Buffalo) wrote 1234. That's why it was originally going to be called "Sally's Song".
If you've ever listened to New Buffalo, it will make sense. It sounds like a New Buffalo song. Not a Feist song. Come on, man.

Honestly, She is a sell out.
Take 7/4 shoreline by BSS and compare it to 1234 HUGE difference.
I am not saying her new style is terrible.
I am just saying she has not stuck to what got her famous in the first place.
Not to mention, she didn't make the song FOR the ipod commercial, or the La Coste Commercial. It was already made. therefore, already a sell out.
she's just a different person than she was in the BSS days.

sell out??? why does everyone equate success to selling out. i will admit that im not as into her since shes been out for the masses but what is she supposed to do??? turn down an ipod commercial or a verizon commercial???
