  • I've never understood spirituality,I can only conceive it as art&have never valued art&science as separate entities. It's apparent the ancients felt the same way.In the dynamics of life, thou art is thy science, this is noncommunicable because art is naturally instinctive to the human in being just as a part of our symmetrical makeup as the scientific symmetry of our opposable thumbs, toes&the environment that goes with them. Our ability for art transcends us from being products of our environment.

  • that's what i was saying for years : you can only discribe feelings , get clouse to the actual event of feeling .... but to realy feel the experiance per say (realy living it,experiacing it) there is nothing beter than that :-)

  • Everything that occurred in that exchange was Zen. Zen is nothing but awareness of the present. Of course to learn to focus your mind requires Zazen. A few of the patriarchs claimed other wise. But for the average person there is no Zen without Zazen. And no one approaches Zen unless they are disturbed by their own mind. Talking about Zen is like trying to put God in a box, then its no longer Zen, it's religion.

  • whAt does he say when cuoting weeler at 9 35," a process of reveal..."????

i couldnt get this, but the reast is so great!

  • "god/eternal within the body" gregg braden? i think that might be in the bible too.

  • All that is ever experienced is the self. Recognizing this is a big first step. B.T.W., science has no "mountain top". The scientific method has no boundaries other than irrationality.

  • "That way is when the being influences the mind, not when the mind influences the being." This is interesting. However, the mind is the organ of consciousness of the Human Being. The mind is just as much the being as the foot or the liver is it not?

  • "...when your being is experiencing the NOW, the so-called reality..." Not so. No one has ever experienced "NOW". Each of us experiences a time-delayed mind representation of what happened seconds ago. Each of us experience time independently of one another. That is to say we are not synchronized in our experience. Also the individuals sense of time is plastic and changes due to a variety of internal and external circumstances. NOW is just another illusion. Only the past is experienced.

  • "So we experience reality THROUGH the mind." We only experience what is substantively ourselves. In other words for you to experience something your mind "becomes" or mimics the object of your experience. The world that you experience is actually yourself.

  • So we experience reality THROUGH the mind. There is also experiencing reality through an empty mind, the Zen mind. Thaat's when your being is experiencing the NOW, the so-called reality. Reality can only be experienced through a meditatif state, which is the ceasing of the mind. Yes, the mind interpretes things its own way, but there is another way too. That way is when the being influences the mind, not when the mind influences the being. That's also how artists get their inspiration.
