@NAVGFan He got one more shot in Cup last year, with the #26 Lat43 team, but both he and Boris Said left the team over financial disputes. Said went on to sub for the Red Bull #83 team at Watkins Glen--- I'm sure we'll see him again this year in road-course races in Cup and/or Nationwide--- while Stremme doesn't have a ride in any of the three series as of today. As for Lat43, the team disbanded during the offseason and its crew chief went on to form his own team, running #32.

@JamieBugajski I admit that I was tricked into thinking Stremme got screwed out of a ride for an open wheel darling (and to be fair, Franchitti was certified badness, too). Of course, then he landed the Penske ride, looked like crap, and my mind changed quick.

Since this video, Stremme had another shot at Cup in 2009 with Roger Penske's #12 team, but had a woeful season and was replaced before the season ended.

david stremme deserves to be back in cup. last year ganassi replaced him in the 40 car with dario franchitti. big mistake. just because bowyer is the points leader, it doesnt mean drivers have to race you differently. stremme was racing for a position there. bowyer needs to stop crying and realize that his car wasnt as fast as stremmes and clint was blocking him. you have to expect that when your that much slower and your blocking a guy. its just hard racing

sure it maybe lucky but he puts himself in posistion every race plus he's consistent and why would anyone back up a crap driver like david stremme, by the way to get any win in the cup series is impressive so u put it right on the money

I know its funny how he insults stremme with his "wonder why he's in the nationwide series" when Clint just lost to a nationwide series driver in Brad Kesalowski lol. So does that mean Clint needs to go back to nationwide himself since he's getting beat by nationwide drivers? What a hypocryt. Clint needs to leave his little ego at home and shut up and drive. I wonder what he has to say about stremme now. Stremme will be driving the #12 for penske next year. I wonder what excuses clint will use.
