  • hi i bought the red top battery is this battery work for my inflate boat please let me know thanks

  • @juan13131316 It should be fine but with a boat you should keep it on a trickle charger just to keep the voltage up when stored.

  • what would work for a 472 cu in. 1973 Cadillac fleet wood fully loaded?

  • @DaveShredder5150 a redtop unless it has a large power draw like a huge stereo that might drain the battery more than normal. I'd that is the case I would use the blue top because it is a deep cycle and has auxiliary battery posts.

  • so the yellow top would be the best thing you can get for a jeep wrangler that wiil eventually get a winch, auxillary lights, full sound system, and all that other crap?

  • @ChocolatePain03 Both Yellow Top and Red Top batteries would work for your application. Yellow tops are merely deep cycle, so they are designed to be able to take the stresses of being drained completely down and charged all the way up. If you foresee this being the case with you then yes, the Yellow Top would be best. However if you dont foresee draining it all the way down frequently, the Red Top should be just fine for the added accessories.

  • Absolutely Travis! Get one and you'll never go back to traditional batteries. They last MUCH, MUCH LONGER than regular ones (I've had a RedTop for 11 years!), since they're totally sealed and solid, not wet, there is no corrosion so your engine compartment (paint, metals, cables, plastics) remaing clean and new-looking much longer and one Optima has the same power, durability, reserve, etc... than 2 or 3 of the conventional ones. Worth every penny, in my opinion.

  • Anybody recromend these batterys?

  • @DaveShredder5150, not an Optima... of any color. Deka batteries of the same group size will out perform, and out last an Optima many times over, and cost less than half. Deka AGM FTW.

  • I have a 07 gmc Sierra I use it alot to listen to music when it's off but i don't know to go for yellow or red top what u guys think i should get...thanks

  • I also got the Red top one last week

  • just bought a yellow top for my car audio. best battery i have EVER used. nothing in my car dims anymore. its an amazing battery

  • @Monkeypumper420 what a bunch of bs, deka batteries? are you serious, first of all both deka and optima work, there is a reason why optimas are used more in the car industry thats because they actually work, my 2005 yukon xl, that has the dvd, game console, t.v and sound system has been on this battery since we got it brand new, i swapped out the stock battery when i added all the electronic stuff to the truck and it hasnt failed, these batteries are great.

  • yellow is awesome...i got one for my altima and have all kinds of lights and subs...cranking is alot faster and lights in my gauges are alot brighter...but cause alot of money..its worth it
