Goldfish need 30 gallons of water per fish...and they're coldwater...not tropical...Plecos are tropical...in other words...they can't live with goldfish. :|

I agree I have an Aquaclear on my small tank it is the Aquaclear 5- 20 and i clean my tank every 2 weeks and I have 1 Oranda and 2 Ryukin

i just bought the same tank on saturday lol. i looked at that bridge to buy but i bought this house with a water wheel just awesome you have the same tank with a nice setup. I have goldfish as well.

I had two orange fantail golf fish and one calico. Two black moors and a pleco. Yes, I love the Aqua Clear. It is the easiest of all my filters to maintain.

how long did u cycle the tank for and please tell me what filter u using

I cheated a bit on the cycle time because I used some items from an already stable tank. They helped speed up the cycle time. I used two plastic plants and all the larger rocks were from another tank. I cycled for about a week on such a large tank.
I did A LOT of research for the perfect filter. I finally chose the Aqua Clear 50. It is the quietest, easiest to clean and the price was right. There was a lot of positive feedback on it as apposed to the Marineland filters.
