I love this drive, I do it once a year. It's so nice to get out of Melbourne and be driving on the beautiful open stretches of road on a beautiful hot summer's day. I always make a stop for a few hours at the Grampians National Park and then make it into McLaren Vale by sunset. Sitting on the beach at McLaren Vale at dusk, reminiscing about the beautiful days drive... it's always an amazing feeling.
