it produces a musical texture by superposition of 14 cycles of different periods of rotation. The apparently chaotic pattern of sound repeats itself every 22 hours. Which is the Least Common Multiple of all the rotation periods.

Two groups of notes cluster noncromatically very close to each other to produce several pulsating frequencies by addition of two or more sound waves.

Inspired in Guatemalan composer Joaquin Orellana`s Automatic Symphony, N Cycle is the first of a series of Kinetic Sculptures that came out of this colaboration. See also: www.joaquinorellana.org
