  • I have this same gun, my dads cousin used to rob banks with it or so he tells me, his grandmother grinded off the firing pin, i'm hoping to take it to a gunsmith and get a new pin, your gun looks great.

  • @DanRedwine That's an awesome story about your relative! :-) Good luck and enjoy your family heirloom!

  • have you taken this gun apart yet?

  • @vinosd773 I've taken out the cylinder and removed the grips for cleaning, that's as far as I've broken it down.

  • @FargoMarc well if this gun is anything like the H&R premier, you will be extremely confused about where the trigger spring goes. between the time i posted this comment and now i have found out where it goes, it goes over the trigger guard and slips into the trigger, with the longer side on top

  • @vinosd773 Thanks for the heads up on that! If I need to go that far into it I'll probably take it to a gunsmith just to be safe. Happy shooting!!

  • I've got an old F&W in .32 Long.

Three weeks of restoration and got it back into shooting shape.

For a gun made in the 1890's it is impressive it still shoots.

  • Love that little gun. Great video.

  • You will need to put a w w w. in front of my last post. Youtube must be trying to stop spam?

  • For those interested here is an e-book about the Iver and Johnsons.

  • @donald399 I honestly don't know, but I don't see why it wouldn't. 38 s&w should be the same all the way across the board. The stuff I use is handmade by Reed's Ammo.

  • I have a this little gun too. Used to be Grandpa's. He used it to slaughter livestock. Shells are hard to find but I managed to pick up a box of 50 reloads at a gun show. They have a little more power than the Winchester and Remingtons. I was a little worried at first but the gun held up fine to them. I don't plan on shooting it much anymore anyways. I keep it next to the bed just in case. I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to look up the SR # to see how old it actually is.
