In February 2009 I revisited the Village my father owned and built in 1974 The Village It was opened to the public by Sir Charles Court the premier of Western Australia in July 1977 only Shakespeare's birthplace was open that year. My father Leo Fowler won the Sir David Brand Award for Tourism was announced at a special dinner held at the Palace Hotel, July 26, 1979. He completed 3 of the building and due to his health my mother sold the village to a local business man in 1991 My father died a year later. The two replicas where sold off. The two famous homes in Britain Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway cottage are now run as Bed and Breakfast homes a Unique place to stay!

The land at top was then cut up subdivided 16 homes stand where the rest of my fathers dream was to stand.

There is nothing there to remember my father by,. NO memorial plaque for my father on the site for all the hard work he put in to this incredible work of art. It stands In Armadale Western Australia. He created an exact replica of both buildings importing the door furniture and widows and tiles and also the fiber thatch for the cottage all the building was made with out nails or bolts but was constructed with wooden pegs as was done in Shakespeare's day. With sadness I share my fathers uncompleted dream as it still stands as a masterpiece in Bedfordale shire of Armadale Western Australia.
