The Super Bowl Shuffle:The Bears

The one thing I'll always remember was not giving the ball to Sweetness to get his TD. That is one thing I think is unforgivable for Ditka to do. All the years of being the best on bad teams and Sweetness got shafted. It never sat right with me and especially when they were on the 1 or 2 and went with Perry into the end zone. What the hell? wasn't the score something like 64-3 and Ditka couldn't give the ball to the immortal Walter Payton to score his TD in the Super Bowl?

I have to agree they were one of the greatest single season teams of all time. They had the greatest running back of all time. McMahon was really tailor fitted to this team. The defense was devastating.

They went 18-1 (15-1 regular season) winning the Super bowl, only allowed 10 points in their entire post season (including the Super Bowl). This was when there were 16 games in the regular season, the 1972 dolphins only had 14 games to play and the 07 Pats went 18-1 losing in the SB. That's why people consider the '85 bears the greatest NFL team of all time.

The Patriots of '85 had nowhere near a chance to beat them! Not even close!
