Audi Q5 review - CarBuyer

Despite a firm ride and limited off-road ability, the Audi Q5 is still a very desirable car. Aimed at the Land Rover Freelander 2, it has the build quality and refinement of an Audi saloon but the practicality and space of a larger 4x4, so it's an excellent compromise.

Those Audis, the Q5 and Q7 look weird with their opened tailgates, since the back light clusters rise with the gate...without those lights visible they look like a 50´s Chevrolet van, lol...but they are beautiful. I like Audi styling very much.

@dr150 4 month waiting list?? What the what? I shopped one and there was no waiting list, at least here in Boston. Also, I think the Q5 is kind of a girls car. No offroad capabilities, soft, feminine styling, really not for me.

@TheHornyHomunculus Evoque is smaller, less reliable and more money apples to apples. For the same space and less money and better looks (IMO), might as well get a low center of gravity sport station wagon like the A4 or 3 series.

@YouNewb100 DISAGREE. Audi Q5 is a VERY cool car...which is why there's a 4 month wait here in the States. Better than the fancy Evoque in most respects IMHO.

@MrMare94 Better gas mileage on the 4 cylinder versus the V6 on the XC60 here in the states. The XC60 also has more creaks...surprising since the car feels so solid. My wife also claims (and I agree) that the Q5 feels more satisfyingly plush and ergonomically more easy to use.
