Quickoffice is a great application that you can get for $19.99 from the App Store. It allows you to transfer files from your computer to your iPhone or iPod Touch as well as allowing you to be able to write Microsoft Office Documents straight from your device. Overall this is a great application that will be put to great use if you work in a business or are constantly typing things up. And yes, you can even copy and paste when working with word docs! However there are some flaws. Some of which include the fact that you CAN read Office '07 docs (.xlsx and .docx) but for some reason you can't EDIT them, this you can only do for documents preceding Office '07. Also, you MUST have a computer to transfer your files... you can't even open up an attached document you get from an email which is pretty disappointing.

  • can you edit your documents or start a new document on the ipod

  • @XxAndrew9xX I don't use this app anymore. You can download Apple's Pages app, though, and that will let you create new documents, edit current ones, and share them through multiple mediums.

  • Hey buddy i have a q...i want to get a used ipod touch with microsoft word installed....simply for writing poetry while listening to music.

what generation ipod touch do i need, the memory..main idea is to use word..i figured buying a used ipod touch would be cheaper than buying a used iphone i have a cell..thanks..--k

  • @MultiRitalin You can't get Word on the iPod touch or iPhone or iPad. On the iPad you can get Pages (Apple's version of Word) but you can't get Pages on the iPhone/iPod touch. The iPod touch does, however, come with a Notes app which you can write your poetry in. Any iPod touch is fine and yes, a used will definitely be cheaper than a new one.

  • Can u send word documents you created on the iPhone to a computer?

  • @ShowUsYourMoves9000 I'm not sure because I don't use this app anymore, but you might be able to just email it to yourself.
