A video I have worked long and hard on, it is finally here ! The vocal range of the incomparable Stevie Wonder !

Normally, I would attempt to write a creative description about the artist, but not this time. I will just let Stevie's soulful, emotional, powerful wails tell the illustrious tale of a career that burned brightly for over half a century.

Please Enjoy !

    At Last

  • You use head voice to describe falsetto? I think his full voice reaches somewhere around A5, G5 for sure. But there are many wrong pitches here and many notes described as upper chest voice are easily just strong falsetto. But the video does give a good idea about the range of Mr. Wonder

Yessir... Some of his upper chest notes are heavily mixed, he is one of the few males that have mastered mixed voice. Also, you might get the idea because Stevie resonates many of his belts in the head....

  • @IloveArethaFranklin I like to call them belted mixed notes.. It's not falsetto, nor pure headvoice.. It's the same as Adam Lambert does and what Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson did.

  • What's the name of the song at 2:32?

  • I think G#2 was the most valid low note he reached, I mean, even maybe the G2......the rest, not really, his easiness on mix is bcuz he has a naturally higher voice I guess, but damm he is good, but i prefer his singing rather than his high screams and belts, it sounds nicer

  • @SingDriver101 He held a 15 second note in Redemption song.

  • 4 octaves...impressive

  • WoW

  • His D2 needed a synth because his low notes are not very powerful, and therefore my theary is, he is a high tenor with some trouble hitting those low notes. Some low notes he sings are very weak and need a synth to produce them.

  • @IVANOF78 Of course there is, that's like saying that there's no strong chest voice. Chest voice can be used for more quiet singing in low notes for example, but also for belting. Same with falsetto, you can get this soft airy sound with falsetto, but you can also belt with falsetto too. Normal chest and head voice just can't reach pitched like D6 without turning into falsetto(except some females can belt there).

there is no such thing as "strong falsetto" that´s mix in the upper chest and head voice for the higher notes
