Stories for the Locker Room

Hi, I'm Janaia Donaldson, host of Peak Moment Conversations. I gave this presentation about living sustainably and how that has affected who I am, at Gather the Women, Nevada County in March 2008. I wove together stories of my deep feeling for trees, the powerful influence of the film "Harold and Maude," and the stunning information about imminent peak oil that led to creating Peak Moment. That was so moving. Thank you for sharing and for all that you do. To answer your previous message - I am interested in all of the ways we can live in way that is more sustainable, more equitable, more ethical, and closer to eachother and the earth. I am currently studying environmental economics, but have strongly considered dropping out of mainstream society and trying to get involved with back to the land communities - intentional communities, ecovillages and similar groups.
