This movie shows a GSV ablation using a 1470nm LASER delivered with a radial fiber and under femoral block done under US control in the Cardiovascular department of the PUCRS university in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
Femoral block under US control provides excellent anesthesia without motor block.

  • Do you use femoral block alone during your procedure? Do you also use tumescent anesthesia? Thanks.

  • When we use a 1470nm LASER delivered with Radial

Emission Fibers we don't use TLA.

The reason is because the large amount of liquid injected the Ultrasound Image loss in quality and is not possible to follow in real time the ablation process.

    Thank you for your comments
