I ported the latest Android full source including several devices (e.g: Graphics, Wireless LAN, Wired LAN, Camera, Bluetooth, Sound, USB 2.0) into Intel X86-based Samsung Laptop successfully as a hobby when I was free. Now, this video shows Android ICS 4.0.4 on Samsung laptop R60+. In my experience, Android based laptop is useful sufficiently when I tested some functions like usability and convenience and performance and mobility.

Its NOT a NetBook cause it has all the features of an ANDROID OS System Loaded wich means is just a Cheap Tablet with Keyboard all his hardware functions are based on a Mobile Cellphone like a 1gb Ram and Limited Amount Capacity of Storage based in a SD CARD,,..,IS A BIG difference between a Real last Model Year Netbook

So, getting back your question...my general guess is it would likely work on most major brand name pc's and laptops. But even then...you just have to test it out of yourself on what ever system you want to put it on to see what will work and what will not. Besides, the Andriod-x86 project is still improving, and for that to me is good news that it will potientially become nearly as solid state as the native Andriod running on Arm.

It really all comes down to hardware compatible components. For instance, I installed and been using ubuntu on my netbook for around half a year without major issues. Recently, the general wireless network driver on ubuntu failed on me and then caused me a great amount of time to troubleshoot all possibilities to figure out why or what did not work. Finally, I gave into my last resort to install "WICD" as a replacement of the default network manager... but ever that failed on me too.

Has anyone tested this with Asus Eee PC 1001PX, netbook with N450 CPU? I want to know if it works without any app/hardware issues and how fluid it can be.
