  • Dried mango's, (even from Mexico) are amazing. If You don't own a dehydrator yet, I would recommend an Excalibur, w/ temp. & timer controls. get the 9 tray model you can find all kinds of things to fill it up with.

  • I only get my produce from local farmers markets, that way I know where it came from. Best time to shop them is near closing time, you will get some great deals and they are willing to bargain with you. I bring it home, do some chopping, slicing and freezing.

  • you can do container gardens in small spaces, and even hang containers from fences

  • 'buy american'? you can't afford to buy american, if this is about saving money, than you buy it where ever it is cheaper, stop caring about who made it...you do know american truck drivers are paid to transport that stuff?  why put drivers out of work by not buying stuff they are transporting just because of where it came from?
