the hilarious thing isn't that this movie is much better than the departed (which in my opinion, it is) it is the fact that neither Martin Scorsese nor any of cast of the departed admitted to their movie being a remake until almost a month after its release. americans make such a big fuss on their own copyrights wtf is this?

I'm so pissed off now, i just watched The departed and right after, I realised it's a remake. I'm 100 % sure the original is much better, like it always is in my oppinion, but now I just can't watch the original any more, after I already watched the remake.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. It just makes me feel bad reading stupid comments like: I fell asleep during The Departed. It was the best thriller I've ever seen. I don't say that The Departed should be everybody's favorite but if you fell asleep it means it's your problem not the movie's. Maybe you enjoy watching movies like Twilight then if you don't like Scorsese's masterpiece?

for me to be honest, i prefer the departed

and with all due respect, the departed is slightly better than mou gaan dou (maybe because of the budget different, technology different, hollywood production, or etc)

but really i respect mou gaan dou as the best asian movie that ive ever seen,

for me both of them are legend in the movie indsutry
