It really depends on your needs, wants, and budget. MyDMX is a basic platform for thoes who want a simple computer based DMX sollution. If you want something with more options and the budget allows it, then yeah go with it

Can you do a video showing how you create an actual show using things such as banks, scenes etc. I've got a ton of DMX lights (like a lot of us do) but I haven't had the interest in going DMX because of my lack of understanding in how shows are created.

@isaacstrat Did you get an answer on this question....I have Venue Thinpar 64 lights without the dip switches....they have the LED DMX address....having trouble getting lights to respond to my Chavet Obey 40....any help would be appreciated

i just started to play with the mydmx program. i cant seem to figure out how to get another DMX universe to come up on the setup page. im doing this for my band and i want another universe to be another song setup. please help.

I need some help. I am using my DMX and i am trying to figure out the dip swith thing but how do i know what channel to start the second light on. My first is the chauvet o-beast and my second is the chauvet vue 2.1. were do i start the second

I've got a DMX Operator II from American DJ i been trying to figure out for years, and Trying to get working with a Martin Mini Mac... No luck. I'm thinking of moving to computer based control software, what besides MyDMX do you recommend there?

I have a Laser projector that has 9 dip switches on the back. I also have a Strand DMX 512 board i want to control the laser with. Unfortunately i don't know the settings for the dip switches to control the laser with the board. Will this software figure this out for me? I'm new to all this so sorry if this is a simple minded question.

I believe you didnt explain how to progam the lights that didnt have the dip switches but rather the LED DMX address. I would greatly appreciate it if you could get back to me on that.
