  • Is there another manual juice machine that you know of that you would recommend over this one? Is there a "best" one?

  • @TheJillCohen Sorry, I haven't had the opportunities to test other manual juicers. A better person to ask would be the YouTube channel called "rawfoods" -- I'm sure you've seen some of his video reviews on juicers. Also, another Amazon review of this same model suggested the Ra Chand juicer model J500 for the fact that it can possibly handle bigger oranges and grapefruit.

  • ive got a cheap press a bit like this but find it doesnt get all the juice out of the side of the orange as it doesnt press hard enough, does the olypus get everything out or could more be rung out?

. i find i have to press my fruit alot and limes are also poorly done with my cheap press so looking for something manual thatll really get all the juice out of something as small as a lime.

  • @timwaltham This press can definitely press hard enough, but the problem would be the size of your orange. If the orange is really large, or if you try grapefruit, an outer ring of pulp will be unpressed. You would have to tilt the fruit and re-press. So yes, you can eventually get all the juice for larger fruit but with multiple pressings.

Also, please check my updated review on Amazon (link in video description). I haven't been happy with the machine in terms of parts quality.

  • thanks, i think i'll pass on it then as i will still have the same problem with big grapefruits not getting squeezed properly, its also really expensive in the uk. will stick to the simple cone press.
