My Camstudio settings for Minecraft

THE SETTINGS ARE:
Region - Fixed Region - Width: 854 Height: 480 (Set these to whatever your minecraft window size is.) If you play on full screen set it to fullscreen and not fixed region.

Options - Video Options: Compressor: Camstudio Lossless Codec
Quality: 100
Set Key Frames Every 50 frames
Capture Frames Every 20 milliseconds
Playback Rate 50 frames/second

Options - Record audio from microphone

Options - Audio Options - Audio Options for Microphone - Audio Capture Device: Stereo Mix (If you want to record the audio that goes to your speakers)
Microphone (If you want to record from a microphone. Good for live commentary.)

Very convenient, I'm trying the make minecraft videos with Camstudio, but am getting very laggy/skippy gameplay, but only when recording while playing minecraft. Playing by itself works fine.

Here's my problem: I play on Full screen, Use Camstudio 2.6, and have the exact same settings as you, except I can't choose/find the "Camstudio Lossless Codec". I have it set to the default, "Microsoft Video 1"

Would using the Codec instead fix the lag? If so, how do I get it?

@MinecraftVideoMaker You have to enable it from the computer settings. Search for a tutorial for that.

I've wanted to do Minecraft videos, and I use CamStudio. My cpu is pretty bad, but I don't lag at all when recording the only thing is that I never can find the file... I check every single folder and never can find the file could anyone help me?

when i play minecraft on the video the graphics are garbage but when i play it recording or not the graphics are fine wat do i do PLZ RESPOND

Where does it save to if you set it to "Record to AVI"? Whenever I do that, it just opens in Windows Media Player, but I don't think it saves. But it does save when I make it "Record to SWF".

correct me if im wrong, but as far as i know, youtube always lowers fps to 30, so there is no point in recording 50 fps.

So can you record voice with this? It says it will pick up my mic. Also how can you know the dementions of a windowed screen? I'm also assuming I need another program to edit the footage?
