Cool. We are hatching some of their eggs too and so far we have good hatching rates. So far 2 batches have hatched. African geese make great pets since they are not mean but gentle and still get the job done as a watch 'dog'.

@puggychu our african geese are really mean. at least the female. She chases me and my grandma around hissing and bites us. The male minds his own business though.

Are you possitively sure the goose you have is pure african? There is another breed out there look similar and they have a orange beak. Those are the meanies.
Our first goose was from feed store and it was mean. We have since then brought these geese direction from breeder and have wonderful experience with them. They are all gentle giants.
