does any1 really know if the vltor is california legal? Vltor states that it is a compensator (Vltor's classification). Retailers (on there web sites) always stating that its a flashsuppressor.

If you guys are looking for a comp that provides both flash suppression and reduces muzzle flip. Look up Battle Comp 1.0. In my opinion it's the best comp/flash suppressor for your money. For about $150.00 it's the best one I have found and there is a ton of video demonstrating it's abilitys in day light and low light.

Remember guys, its not all about how much flash suppression there is, there are other functions as well. Take can style for example, it really cuts down muzzle flip, and gives you much more accurate follow up shots. However, after it heats up quite a bit a big ring of carbon builds up along the outside edge, and creates quite the fireworks show.

I could do that but I think it's more expensive

Man love the sound of the brass hitting the ground in slow mo
wow! the $6.00 A2 flash supressor won that competition. I'd like to see it against the izzy, and the vortex suppressors.
