Elvis in Woodford

After 28 years of being Woodfords very own icon Elvis Parsley is calling it a day. Things changed for the Elvis Parsley Grapelands Fruit Shop, when IGA came to town and it is predicted the new Woolworths will only make it harder.
Elvis has left the building but not the block, Elvis Parsley said.
A builder is set to move into the shopfront area by April, while Elvis Parsley will continue to sell plants part time from another location.
The character of Elvis Parsley has entertained people from all backgrounds including children with cancer, high profile politicians and tourist who have travelled around the world to see him.
Many people believe it was Elvis Parsley who put Woodford on the map before events like Woodford Folk Festival were even thought of.
Events in Woodford come and go, Elvis Parsley said. But I have been in this town entertaining 365 days a year.
