The Arlington Million is a prestigious Grade 1 race in the United States for thoroughbred horses aged three years and upward. It is raced over a distance of 1¼ miles on the turf at Arlington Park, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Gio Panti ran a great race after stumbling out of the gate. He paid $5.00 to win, $3.40 to place and $2.60 to show. 4 Grade 1 Stakes win for him.

1st - #6 Gio Ponti ($594,000.00).
2nd - #3 Just As Well ($198,000.00).
3rd- #4 Stotsfold ($99,000.00).
4th - #8 Cima De Triomphe ($49,500.00).
5th - #1 Einstein ($29,700.00).
6th - #5 - Mr. Sidney.
7th - #7 - Gloria De Campeao.
8th - #2 - Presious Passion.

  • Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of Stotsfold - he showed great late kick but just couldn't get there against Gio - arguably the best male turf horse now in the US. Congrats to Walter Swinburn and young Adam Kirby - he's got a bright future.

  • if i was walter swinburn id be shipping stotsfold over to hong kong to contest the mile race..and hoping not to bump into crowded house from the meehan stable. the ground unsuited stotsfold here big time,

  • what a horse, I think he now has established himself as the best male turf horse in the U.S. now lets see him beat the rest of the world in the Breeders cup.
