Great song, but why did they use the name Poogy for the ESC 74?

Found the lyrics translated to English. Singing more or less about birth of the world and then droppin in those lines of desperate love down on his knees and all :P Feels like tongue firmly in cheek :)

One must admit, they were good. Good enough to beat the two hot Swedish babes frontin' for ABBA? Well... Had "POOGIE" been media savvy and presentation "show biz" smart, they would perhaps have known to have one cute girl or girl vocalist or dancer[s]. Even though their Hebrew is pretty, ABBA beat them in performing their song in English, as well. I still love both bands!

לא ברור למה בארוויזיון קראו להם "פוגי" ולא "כוורת". כי "כוורת" הוא שמה הרשמי של הלהקה וכך היא מוכרת בארץ. לגבי "פוגי" זה הכינוי של המתופף:מאיר פניגשטיין (ואריאציית שם חיבה לפניגשטיין) כמו למשל ישראל פוליאקוב ז"ל מהגשש החיוור שהכינוי שלו היה:"פולי". בכל מקרה זאת אותה להקה.ואת שם האלבום "סיפורי פוגי" הם נתנו בגלל שכשהם התחילו לעבוד כלהקה הם עשו ברדיו פינות עם מערכונים וסיפורים הזויים שהגיש מאיר וקראו להם "פינות פוגי".חלק גדול מהמערכונים היווה השראה לכתיבת רוב השירים(למשל:"שיר המכולת") ומכאן השם
